0Glenn McGrath and the bunnies

It seems kind of early, but Glenn McGrath is already talking up his targets for the Ashes. He’s hoping that his “bunnies” will be Mr Andrew Strauss and Mr Alastair Cook.

“There’s the young fellow Cook who’s done well so far. He’s one of many — there’s no use naming one (bunny) — these days you name two or three. They’ve captained Strauss at the moment: you always name the captain.”
Glenn McGrath

So in this busy, crazy world, champion fast bowlers now have to name two or three bunnies. Crikey … what is this world coming to?!! And will Captain Strauss be hoping that Flintoff and perhaps Vaughan are back again, so that the bunny mantle can be passed on to them?

Scott reckons that McGrath’s bunny talk isn’t taken seriously by anyone these days, but I’m not so sure. He’s not the bowler that he used to be, so he may get frustrated if he can’t pull off his plan of attack like he used to. However, McGrath is still a champion bowler, and he knows how to get people out. It will be an interesting battle.
