Australians aiming at one-day superiority

Posted by: TheAshesBlog.com In: The build-up ()

Australian coach John Buchanan is hoping to use the one-day series as momentum against England prior to the Ashes Test series.

"It gives us an opportunity to pit our
skills against theirs and then we would hope that in playing pretty
well, we would assert ourselves and provide some sort of statement
about the rest of the tour."
- John Buchanan in The Age

The Natwest series begins on Thursday June 16 with England v Bangladesh at Brit Oval.

About

TheAshesBlog.com is the home of the re-enacted Ashes photos, where you'll find pivotal Ashes moments re-enacted in an Aussie backyard. So we might show Ricky Ponting celebrating a century, only the venue is a backyard in Brisbane rather than The Oval. And the stumps are a cardboard box. And KP doesn't really look like that in real life ... or does he?
